The importance of community wellness will be the focus of Healthy Families Day in Bradenton.
Presented by the Florida Department of Health (DOH) in Manatee County, it will be a day for entire families to gather to learn about and celebrate wellness while enjoying fun activities and giveaways such as children's Books.
It is often ideal for organizers of events such as this to have experienced printers provide banner printing services.
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) department of the health center will welcome new and experienced parents and other interested citizens to meet, share, and learn about healthy lifestyles and choices.
The event is open to anyone, although parents of babies and infants will be especially interested as the event coincides with national Breastfeeding Awareness Month. Attendees will be offered free breast-feeding resource kits containing helpful information and advice. The first week of August is also recognized around the world as a time to highlight the advantages of breastfeeding for the health and welfare of babies, and to bring attention to the inequalities in support for parents.
Health Families Day is just one of the ways the Manatee Department of Health works to support wellness. The area DOH offers other community programs as well as family planning, nutritional services, immunizations, and much more as part of its vision to be the healthiest state in the nation.
Health Families Day will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10am to 2 pm at the WIC main office 212 6th Avenue East.Get a Free Quote for Books
