The De Soto Heritage Festival will be celebrated in Bradenton, Florida through the majority of April this year.
Each year since 1939, the Hernando De Soto Historical Society holds the De Soto Heritage Festival to celebrate Florida’s history with various parties, parades, and special performances through April. Many events will be featured again this year, such as the Party in the Park, the Bottle Boat Regatta, and the De Soto 5k Run. Supervised egg hunts and community beach days will also be included in the festivities.
Near the end of April and after the De Soto 5k Run, the De Soto Heritage Festival concludes with one of Florida’s largest illuminated parades. The De Soto Heritage Festival Grand Parade will be closing the monthlong event with over 150 parade entries that will be included alongside live music. All organizations participating in the parade can use banner printing to share messages with the community while raising their visibility at the event.
The De Soto Heritage Festival will officially begin on April 5 and will end by April 27. The De Soto Heritage Festival Grand Parade will be held on April 27 at 6:30 pm. The event will be free for all families who attend. The parade will begin at Manatee High School and finish near downtown Bradenton. Food and other crafts will be available to purchase from vendors at the festival.
