The Bradenton Area River Regatta is taking place next month in Bradenton and Palmetto.
The largest festival of its kind in Manatee County, those who attend will be treated to world class athletic performers who will be taking part in displays of speedboat racing, jet skiing, and Hydro-Xross racing.
There will also be plenty of activities taking place on dry land. There will be Frisbee demonstrations from the Disc-connected K9s, a 5K run beginning at 8:00 AM, and a firework display. Musical entertainment will be provided by performers such as ZBTB, the Nashville Yacht Club Band and Matt Walden. Kool Kid Zones will be set up at the South Florida Museum, the Bradenton Herald, the Art Center Manatee, and several other places. Activities will vary at each venue and are set to include face painting, ‘xtreme pogo’, art projects, and interactive games.
Food will be available for purchase. The Main Street Bradenton Awards will also be handed out during the day.
There should be something for every member of the family to enjoy in Bradenton and Palmetto. No doubt organizers will be working with a local printing company to promote this event.
The Bradenton Area River Regatta will be held on February 4 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Admission is free. For more information, contact Mike Fetchko at 412-298-2884.
