The third annual Lincoln Parkapalooza, hosted by The Stratfield Village Association, will be held in early September.
With the intention of bringing neighborhoods and local musicians together to create a sense of community, the event will also be a fundraiser for neighborhood beautification and improvement. More than 20 local bands will perform on private front lawns and porches, and then the event will culminate with a concert in Lincoln Park.
The concert will begin with LouderDaddy, who will be followed by Ellis Island, and The Alpaca Gnomes.
Lincoln Park will have free bounce houses and popcorn for the children, and a few food trucks that will be contributing 15% of their proceeds to the fundraiser. This will be a BYOB (bring your own booze) affair. To guarantee safety and good traffic flow, two Fairfield Police officers will be on hand. The park will have additional trashcans for litter control, and a team of 10 will be cleaning up afterwards.
Fairfield artisans will be displaying and selling their original items. Guests who take the time to meander through the artisan areas at events such as this often get a good look at what is available locally and collect Business Cards from those they especially enjoy.
General admission will be $40 and children under 18 can get in for free.
Lincoln Parkapalooza will take place September 9 from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm along Jackman Avenue and at Lincoln Park.
