Four Fairfield Christmas holiday traditions will be returning at the beginning of December.
The Annual Tree Lighting will usher in the holiday season, with a choir beginning the afternoon at 4:15 pm. That will be followed by the tree lighting at 5:00 pm. Attendees will want to stick around afterwards for pictures with Santa, a DJ, and an ornament workshop. All this will take place Saturday, December 3 from 4:15 pm to 7:00 pm in Downtown Fairfield.
Also on December 3, Roger Ludlowe Middle School, 689 Unquowa Road, will present its Music for the Holiday Season featuring the CT Symphonic Winds. The 75-minute free concert will be a musical romp through holiday songs and films with singalongs. The concert will begin at 1:00 pm.
Meanwhile, over at the Scandinavian Club Inc, 1351 S Pine Creek, there will be a Christmas Market. Artisans will be displaying and selling their handmade Nordic gifts. There will be baked goods and Nordic foods for purchase, along with entertainment. The Christmas Market will be December 3 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Vendors at events such as this often include Business Cards with their sales.
A week later, Santa will be greeting children at the Holiday Breakfast at Fairfield Ludlowe High School on December 10 beginning at 10:00 am. Due to limited space, early registration will be a must, and this can be done as of 9:00 am on November 16 via the Parks & Recreation Website.
