Parks and Recreation has trio of events

Over the next few weeks, the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department has three major events planned.

The Hole-in-One Contest for Hunger will be for all ages. Participants will get assigned timeslots to get a hole-in-one. Each participant will get one attempt to win the $5,000 cash prize. Registration will be five non-perishable food items that will be given to Operation Hope.

The event will take place at Carl Dickman Par 3 between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 5.

On Saturday, December 10, Parks and Recreation is inviting the Fairfield community to its annual Holiday Breakfast. Online registration is a must and space will be limited. Along with the traditional breakfast, guests may get their faces painted, have pictures taken with Frosty the Snowman and visit Santa Claus. Registration will begin November 16 at 9:00 am.

Fairfield’s Holiday Breakfast will take place at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, 785 Unquowa Road beginning at 10:00 am.

The town’s annual Tree Lighting will take place in Downtown Fairfield. Afterward the festivities will include a DJ, pictures with Santa, food trucks, and a Santa Ornament workshop.

Pictures taken at holiday events such as this often go to Print shops to be entered into Parks and Recreation brochure printing.

The 2022 Fairfield Tree Lighting will begin at 4:15 pm with the other festivities running afterward from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 3.
