Pequot Library will be holding its 17th annual Arts Show Weekend later this month. The three-day event will showcase the work of local, regional, and nationally recognized artists, and will also have exhibits and activities for the children in celebration of the fall.
The first day of the weekend will be dedicated to the children, with a range of workshops set to be offered, including one on self-portraiture. Some parents may want to work with local Print companies to have artwork converted for poster printing.
The second day will feature an art gallery exhibition, where visitors can view artwork and listen to various presentations, some of which are by the artists. There will also be a fundraising gala later in the evening which will include a light meal.
The third day of the weekend will be dedicated to antiques, fine arts, and collectibles. In addition to viewing examples, attendees may have some of their own antiques appraised by experts from Heritage Auctions, perhaps tempting them to scour their attics for forgotten treasures.
