Fairfield welcomes festive extravaganza

Very soon, the New Paradigm Theatre Company will be offering Fairfield locals a chance to enjoy the holiday season in a musical way by presenting the second annual NPT Broadway Holiday Extravaganza.

The family friendly event will feature a wide variety of Broadway songs with accompanying dancers dressed in bright holiday costumes.

The extravaganza will consist of performers belting out familiar Broadway tunes, along with live instrumentalists and a large assortment of dancers. This year’s show will also offer ‘Ms. Clauz with a Z’ as she hosts a ‘Holiday TV show’, which includes comedic guests.

The event will include segments meant to educate the audience about local theatrical arts. It will feature young people from around the area performing with the college students, the Fairfield Children’s Choir, and Cloonan Middle School singers. To wrap things up, local businesses have put together a take on the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ highlighting products and services they are trying to promote. Also, the Singing Chef and others from the Food Network will perform a “foodie” number. Those planning to attend may want to bring cameras for picture taking for later use in postcard printing.

The extravaganza will be held Friday, December 11, at 8:00 pm, and Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford St, Fairfield. Tickets can be purchased online for $35.
