Fairfield will be the location of the Mikey’s Foundation’s Second annual Beacon of Hope event coming in a couple of weeks.
The event organizers are expecting to accommodate over 200 diners this year. They are asking everyone here in Fairfield to “Help Us Light the Night.”
Beacon of Hope will be a casual dining event at the seaside overlooking Long Island Sound. In total, 11 local restaurants will provide food and desserts at buffet stations along with their signature drinks. Some of these establishments will be Confections by Crystal, Pranzo, White Calaw, The Redding Roadhouse and Kindred Spirits.
ETA will be the entertainment for the evening. The band plays contemporary songs by artists such as Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and Shakira.
Live and silent auctions will have items up for bids and there will also be a raffle.
Each “Be Like Mikey” sponsor needs to get their Logo Design to the organizers as soon as possible before the event banner printing begins. The Mikey’s Way Foundation helps children cope with life threating illnesses such as cancer. The organization distributes Wi-Fi ready electronics like laptop computers and tablets.
Beacon of Hope will run from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm at the Penfield Beach Pavilion, 323 Fairfield Beach Road, on Friday, July 19. Tickets are $125 each.
