Fairfield summer brings outdoor concerts and movies

Parks and Recreation of Fairfield will once again present free concerts and movies for both kids and adults during June, July, and August.

Kids and their families can head to the Peanut Butter Jam Concerts on Wednesdays.

Tom Weber and Make Music will begin the series on June 21, and that performance will be followed by Ryan Sanangelo on June 28. On July 5, concertgoers will be seeing Les Julian, and July 12’s performer will be T Bone. Al Decant and Joy Blooms will entertain the little ones on July 19, while Steve Elci and Friends will end the month’s concerts on July 26. The season will end with the Benanna Band on August 2.

These concerts will begin at 10:30 am and take place at the Sherman Green Gazebo, at the intersection of Reef Road and Post Road.

Kids who enjoy concerts like this often dance around wearing their favorite band’s merchandise sporting its graphic design.

Jennings Beach will be holding Sand Jam Movie Nights at 8:45 pm, beginning with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on June 16. Next will be Minions: The Rises of Gru, on June 29, Lightyear on July 14, DC League Of Super-Pets on July 27, and Hotel Transylvania 4 on August 10.

The 2023 Summer Concert Series will continue its eclectic lineup on Sundays and Thursdays until August 17, and Sweet Sound of Summer on Saturdays at the Sherman Green Gazabo from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
