Many Fairfield runners will begin their new year by running the first ever MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Connecticut Dry 5k coming in early January 2025.
Online registration for adults is $40.40 until December 15th, $35.19 from December 16th to the 31st, and $41.45 from January 1st to the 5th. Tickets for kids between the ages of 1 to 18 are $34.14 until December 15th, $35.19 from then to December 31st and $36.23 from January 1st to the 5th.
Swag includes long-sleeve tech shirts sporting the MADD Dry 5k graphic design. Many races like this often use local Print shops to emboss their logos or designs on swag.
Late registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:30 am on race day. That will be followed by the 5k start at 9:00 am. Grab-and-Go Snacks and refreshments will be at the start/finish line beginning at 9:15 am with the awards ceremony at 10:00 am.
Awards will go to the top three male and female finishers in nine age categories and to the top 3 non-binary finishers.
The course will be an out-an-back making a loop around Loyola Drive at its intersection with Leeder Road. The start and finish will be in Fairfield University's Leslie E. Quick Jr. Recreation Center parking lot, 1073 N Benson Road.
The MADD Connecticut Dry 5k will take place Sunday, January 5th.
