Fairfield Parks & Recreation will be presenting their annual Beach Bunny 5k in mid-April.
The Beach Bunny 5k welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Registration for the 5k will be $35 and will include computer chipped bibs. Beach Bunny T-Shirts will be guaranteed to those registering before March 28th. T-Shirts will also be available for $15 at the event. The 5k will begin at 9:00 am.
Bib and t-shirt pickup will be available on April 7th, 8th, 9th and 11th from 9:00 am to 4:00 am at Fairfield Park and Recreation. On April 10th, they will be available from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. These items will also be available on race day.
The Family Bunny Hop beginning at 10:15 am will be a free untimed 0.8 mile walk suitable for families and their pooches. Costumes are welcome and encouraged.
Families that come costumed to events like this often take pictures of themselves to local Print shops to become part of family Calendars and newsletters.
A new starting line for both the Bunny Hop and the 5k this year will be just passed the Fairfield Beach Club on Fairfield Beach Road.
The free Easter Egg Scramble for children 5 and under will begin at 10:50 followed by the older children's Scramble at 10:55 am. Children will need to bring their own baskets.
This year's Beach Bunny 5k will be Saturday, April 12th at Jennings Beach.
