To get everybody moving whether indoors or out, Fairfield Parks and Recreation will hold a Beach Bunny 5K virtual running event.
The virtual run gives every participant the option of location, time, and duration of their runs or walks. Distances may be completed at more than one time. Runners must, however, upload their times on RunSignUp before Saturday, April 3 at noon.
Swag includes racing bibs printed at home, graphite, white, and pink high-performance event T-Shirts sporting this year’s Beach Bunny 5K graphic design and finisher medals. Registration is $30 until February 28, when costs increase.
The Beach Bunny 5K will go online Saturday, March 27 and ends Saturday, April 3. Proceeds will go to the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department.
In lieu of the yearly Easter Egg Hunt, the department will have a Bunny Bundles! Drive-through event on Thursday, April 1. Kids can visit the Easter Bunny at the Penfield Pavilion while remaining in their cars. As they leave, they will be handed an At Home Egg Hunt Kit.
Parents often take pictures of their little ones hunting for eggs. These photos may then be taken to nearby Print shops and are made into duplicates to be sent to friends and relatives in Easter cards.
Pre-registration is $5 per child and tickets can be purchased at the Fairfield Recreation’s website.
