Fairfield holds annual tree festival

The 2019 Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival is coming in early December.

The Burr Homestead, 739 Old Post Road, will be a blaze of lights when it opens for its “A Season of Hope” benefit for Camp Hope. There will be decorated rooms filled with garlands, wreaths and ornamented trees – all for purchase. Guests can start checking items off their Christmas lists as they find gifts at the Boutique. Santa will be on hand for photos. Many families that have photo taken at this time of year will still have time to get them to local Stationery printers for Holiday Cards.

Cecily Zerega has graciously donated a handcrafted quilt that will be the prize for this year’s Annual Quilt Raffle. Proceeds for this raffle will go to Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation.

Special events during the festival will include Camp Hip Hop on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Double Up Dance Studio will present an evening of dining, dancing and time with Santa. The evening will end with a walk to the tree lighting ceremony.

Connecticut Dance School will present a mini Nutcracker performance at the Nutcracker “Sweet” Tea on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The tea will include sandwiches, tea, treats and sweets.

Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival will be Friday, December 6 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm, again on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, and also Sunday, December 8 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
