Fairfield golfers play for Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County will be hosting its 23rd Annual Benefit Golf Outing. All proceeds will go to providing ownerships and building homes for Coastal Fairfield County low-income families.

Registration will begin at 10:30 am when the driving range opens. The barbecue luncheon buffet will begin at 11:00 - an hour before the shotgun start which will begin at noon. The best ball format will be in play.

Those not participating in the tournament will arrive at 5:00 pm, when the 19th Hole Cocktail Reception will start. A dinner buffet will follow, and a brief program and the awards ceremony will cap the evening.

Players can choose from five player packages. Each of these includes player gifts including local businesses Promotional Products, lunch, and admittance to the reception. The more expensive sponsorships also include tee signage and other advertising media. The Clubhouse sponsor ($10,000) has the caddie included while the other packages require separate request and payment. Sponsorships for a hole can still be obtained for $500.

New this year is the silent auction online, which will entail bidding on a mobile app. Non-attendees and golfers may now bid on items before the event. Items can be viewed online and pre-bidding will begin on September 15.

The tournament will be Thursday, September 22 at the Country Club of Fairfield, 936 Sasco Hill Road, Fairfield.
