The Town of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will present their sixth annual Fairfield Health and Fitness Expo in mid-March. This will be a free and public event.
Over 80 exhibitors from the area will be displaying information on the latest products and services such as urgent care, nutrition, dentistry, elder care, massage chiropractic, fitness, and plastic surgery. Businesses that set up booths at expos such as this often have Business Cards available for any passersby that may want to purchase their products and services at a later date.
There will be 45-minute lectures, along with blood pressure, glucose and other free screenings, CPR training and fitness demonstrations. Fairfield police will conduct a drug takeback program. Event attendees will get the opportunity to experience a Virtual Dementia Tour.
Children can Touch a Truck and participate in the annual Shamrock Run. SoundRUNNER will host a 0.3 mile run on the track that will involve Popsicle sticks. Each runner (ages 5 – 12) will receive two popsicle sticks and give one back after each lap, then run the final lap.
For $100 local nonprofits and businesses have the option to get their own banner printing done and display their logo designs on Banners placed above the Expo elevated running track.
The expo will take place, shine or snow, at Fairfield University RecPlex, 1073 N. Benson Road on Saturday, March 14 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Parking will be free.
