Fairfield Chamber of Commerce gets fighting fit

The Town of Fairfield, in partnership with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Fairfield Health & Fitness Expo 2018 in March.

The event will have businesses associated with health and fitness as well as professionals who practice in the areas of nutrition, children’s health, chiropractic, elder care, and naturopathic.

AFC Urgent Care of Fairfield will be offering free glucose and blood pressure screenings. Free 45-minute health and fitness lectures will be held throughout the day. The lecture speakers will be available after the talks to continue conversations. Short hands-on CPR and AED Training will be available every 15 minutes. These demonstrations will be free and will require no registration, although they will not be full CPR Certification courses.

There will be a drug takeback for visitors to bring old medicines that have passed their expiration dates for proper disposal. A kids’ fun run, spin classes, and ‘Visible’ Demo Classes will be new additions this year. Guests will be welcome to take a virtual dementia tour experience.

Anyone associated with child or elderly care or health and fitness organizations will want to get this information to these organizations before any monthly newsletter printing is carried out.

The 2018 Health and Fitness Expo will be from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm on March 11 at Fairfield University RecPlex 1073 North Benson Road.
