Fairfield will mark Halloween with three October events.
Fairfield’s Annual Harvest Market will be coming couple of weeks. Over 70 unique clothiers, artisans, jewelers, and retail vendors will be there. Kids can decorate pumpkins, guess a pumpkin’s weight, and watch baby chicks. Food vendors will be offering apple cider and maple syrup.
The Dog Costume parade will start at noon, with free dog portraits taken an hour beforehand. These portraits can be taken to local Stationery printers to be included in family Calendars, or to Print shops for local pet shop poster printing.
Children can enjoy a safe, entertaining afternoon at Halloween on the Green. There, they can play games, visit the Enchanted Halloween Village, burn off energy in bounce houses, and go trick-or-treating. A costume parade will begin at 1:00 pm, and pumpkin carving will be available throughout the afternoon.
Those a little older can get their thrills and chills at the Harvest Fair After Dark. There will be haunted hayrides, food, games, and plenty of unexpected terror.
The market and dog costume parade will be October 14 starting at 10 am at 611 Old Post Road.
Halloween on the Green will be October 28 from noon until 4:00 pm on the Fairfield Museum Commons, 370 Beach Road.
Harvest Fair After Dark will be on October 12 and 13, and again on October 19 through 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Pilot House Community Farm, 1230 Merwins Lane.
