Fairfield celebrates spring for the 83rd time

The 83rd Annual Greenfield Hill Dogwood Festival, including the Dogwood Festival Arts & Crafts show, will be coming in May. The pink blossoms should be in full array as guests meander through the beautiful Dogwood trees.

The event will begin with a luncheon followed by a dance and barbecue in the evening. The next morning there will be a two-mile Dogwood Dash fun run and a Dogwood Mini-Dash for the two- to seven-year-olds.

Kate’s Corner will once again hold the festival’s tag sale. There will activities for the children, a clothing sale, collectables on display and for sale, and a café. Concerts will be in the sanctuary and there will be a garden and plant boutique. The art show and the accompanying juried craft show will have around 45 exhibitors.

Pictures taken at this event could go to local printers for poster printing, or to Stationery printers for custom personal stationery.Profits from this event will go to benefit international, regional and local charities.

The Dogwood Festival and Arts and Crafts show will be Friday, May 11 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, May 12 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, and May 13 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm at the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church grounds at 1045 Old Academy Road. Pets are welcome to join in the celebration.
