Fairfield businesses and leaders attend Gala on the Green

Early in June, the Fairfield Museum will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a Gala on the Green. This gala will be the inaugural event for the next phase of the museum’s future. Three hundred guests are expected.

Guests will stroll through the Museum Commons, the newly renovated historic town green. They will examine the new exhibits in the refurbished Barn, Victorian Cottage, and Sun Tavern while drinking specialty cocktails.

The highlight of the evening will be the farm-to-table dinner which will be served on the green. The meal will be crafted by the Schoolhouse at Cannondale’s Chef Tim LaBant. Chef Michel Nischan, the James Beard Foundation Award-Winner for 2017, will be the special guest.

The evening will end out under the stars with a live music performance by jazz pianist Kent Hewitt and Fairfield’s own renowned bassist Brain Torff.

Proceeds will go to subsidizing the museum’s educational programming, such as class field trips and Walter Matis’ in-school programs.

Those businesses that are sponsoring the event will be included in the section of the evening’s program called ‘The Fairfield Guide’. They will need to get their ad specialties to the organizers before the program booklet printing takes place.

The Gala is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 at the Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road in Fairfield from 7:00 to 11:00 pm.
