After all the Christmas, Hanukah, and Kwanza holiday events at the end of 2018, there will still be one more and this one will be for charity. Taste of Fairfield-Winterfest 2019 will take place toward the end of January.
The impetus of this winter gala will be on bringing together local markets, restaurants, vintners, brewers and distillers to prepare and serve Super-Bowl-party worthy, any party worthy foods and good old comfort food.
Along with all the gastric pleasures will be music, bowling in an eight-lane state-of-the-art bowling alley, and live comedy routines all afternoon.
A photo booth will be available to take those first 2019 pictures. Many families at events such as this take these pictures to local Print shops when they take other family photos to be included in family Calendars.
A Chances to Win raffle will be an opportunity for guests to donate money and be part of a drawing. The winner will receive a dinner for two, and a two-day and two-night stay, at Nantucket’s White Elephant Resort. All proceeds from the event’s Chances to Win program will go directly to Operation Hope. The event organizers will also post a list of items that guests can bring to Winterfest for this charity in a few weeks.
WinterFest will be Sunday, January 27 from noon until 4:00 pm at the Brooklawn Country Club, 500 Algonquin Road.
