The Fairfield Sweet Sounds of Summer Concert Series is in full swing and still has 16 bands performing in August. The series, however, will end early in September with a performance by Green Eyed Lady.
Green Eyed Lady is the winning group of this year’s ‘Fairfield’s Best Cover Band’ contest. The three-member band is composed of Jenn Eckart, a former bassist for Who’s Rob? She covers everything from Joan Jett to Norah Jones. The second member of the group is Rick Lewis, a songwriter, producer and former bassist turned lead guitar. He has written songs for MCA artists and has released country gospel records of his own. His voice can cover artists such as Jimi Hendricks and Joe Walsh. The third member of the trio is Tommy Nagy, who is a session and live performance drummer.
The group performs covers of more than 50 bands and artists, including Jimmy Buffett, Nancy Sinatra, Beatles, John Mellencamp, Sheryl Crow, and ZZ Top. Fans of the group will want to check before the performance, during intermission, and after the show to see if it has any Promotional Products for sale, such as albums, T-Shirts, or attractive Posters.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 3rd at the Sherman Green Gazebo 1451-1473 Post Road, Fairfield and will start at 6:30 pm.
