An experienced photographer will be holding a class in May at the North Table Loop Trailhead in Golden.
The Macro & Wildlife Photography Workshop is a lesson where people can visit a beautiful location with several animals to photograph. The trip will begin with a short hike up the mountain. After the walk, students can wander the trail to look for interesting life to use as subjects for their shots. Several techniques will be covered during the workshop, including macro focus stacking and super macro magnification. It is recommended to bring a small tripod on the trip to help students get closer to the ground.
The instructor for the workshop is Bryan Maltais, an award-winning photographer and filmmaker who studied at the University of Missouri-Columbia. His past films include Into The Forest, Metamorphosis, and Der Magische Wald. Maltais is also the founder of Wilderness Shots Photography Workshops. His classes take place in many picturesque locations, such as the Bisti Badlands, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Bosque del Apache. He also offers private lessons on topics such as beginner’s camera settings and macro photography.
The photography lesson will be held on Saturday, May 27. There is no cost to participate in Maltais’ workshop, and spots are limited. Those who instruct classes similar to this may use poster printing to market their lessons to more potential students.
