Golden to raise awareness for motorcyclists

The Dirty Dogs Roadhouse in Golden will be organizing an event in May to raise awareness for those who ride motorcycles.

The 11th Annual Motorcycle Awareness Day is an event where people can ride their motorcycles in a group to encourage people to pay attention to motorcyclists on the road. The sponsor for the event is Rider Justice, which is an organization founded by Scott O’Sullivan that helps those who have been unfairly injured while riding their motorbike. The company represents accident victims in court to help people get fair compensation for their injuries.

The organization behind the event is BikerDown, a group that serves injured bikers by providing them and their families with financial support and medical equipment. The tight-knit community also offers emotional support to motorcyclists. The founder of BikerDown is Laurie Montoya, a motorcycle rider who was involved in a ride where several bikers went down. Businesses can support the non-profit by purchasing sponsorships that start at $50 per month.

The event will be on Saturday, May 13 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The experience will cost $25 per person, and those who pre-register for the event will be guaranteed to receive a commemorative T-shirt. Non-profits that organize awareness days such as this may use banner printing to promote their causes to more people. People can help BikerDown by becoming a volunteer.
