Golden attraction holding educational summer camps

The Golden History Museum & Park will hold several educational summer programs for children.

Summer Camp at Golden History Museum & Park is a series of themed activities where kids can have fun learning during their summer breaks. This year, the summer camps will include themes such as Pioneer Kids, Silent Stars, and Art Explorers. The activities children can do in these programs include making hand-woven crafts, panning for gold, building water filters, and milling flour by hand. Some camps will have kids starring in their own movies and solving historical mysteries.

The Golden History Museum & Park is an attraction that started out as the Jefferson County Historical Museum in 1938. The venue is split between a family-friendly modern museum and a three-acre outdoor lab with buildings themed after a historic homestead. The director of the facility is Nathan Richie, a graduate of John F. Kennedy University and Colorado State University. The curator of the attraction is Stephanie Gilmore.

The summer camp series will be held from June 3rd to August 2nd. The five-day camps will usually last from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Museum members may pay $380 for full-day sessions and $190 for half-day sessions. People must be at a membership tier of $95 or higher to qualify for the reduced price. Museums that hold similar summer programs to this may use flyer printing to market these activities to families.
