Two annual festivals return to Arvada
Two Arvada annual festivals, Arvada Winterfest and Arvada Kite Festival, are scheduled to return in the next few months.
Our annual Arvada WinterFest, a celebration of art, culture, and entertainment, is returning this year with a new format. It has been renamed Arvada Wintersesh.
The event will be divided into two 90-minute sessions, both of which will be ticketed. Guest can enjoy live cultural performances, games, food, and vendors. Global-themed booths will offer games for the kids.
Culturally diverse food trucks and artisan, craft, and general merchandise vendors will be on site, selling their wares. Non-profits will also be there selling items and passing out information about their goods and services.
Guests who particularly enjoy a vendor’s food or merchandise or are interested in further supporting a non-profit, often ask for their business cards so they can find them after the event.
Arvada Wintersesh will be Saturday, February 20 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in Olde Town’s Mcllvoy Park located at 5750 Upham Street. Session 1 will take place from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, and Session 2 will be from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
Arvada Kite Festival will come on Sunday, April 11. Guests are invited to bring their own kites or purchase them at the site. The event will begin at 9:45 am at Oak Street and 58th Avenue.
