After a two-year hiatus, Winterfest will be returning to Arvada at the end of February.
The event will allow the community to come together to learn, enjoy, and sample entertainment, culture, and arts that highlight the diversity in our area.
Free carriage rides will be given through Olde Towne, and Colorado Ice Works will have members carving ice sculptures. Cultural performances will include mariachi, polka, dragon, and lion dancing from the Colorado Asian Cultural Center, while the Wick School of Irish Dance Colorado will offer performances in Irish step dancing.
Olde Towne Business Improvement District will get some of the proceeds from the beer garden and a variety of vendors and food trucks will be offering items for purchase. Local artisans and crafters will be on hand displaying and selling their original creations.
Many vendors, artisans, and craftspeople bring Business Cards with them to these events. Sometimes they include them with items purchased, or they may simply pass them out to those passers-by that ask for them.
Local pets will parade through Olde Towne decked out in their ugliest sweaters for a chance to win a doggie-themed gift basket donated by Paws ānā Play.
Arvada Winterfest will be in Mcllvoy Park at Upham Street and 58th Avenue on February 26 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
