Olde Town Arvada will be bringing in the 2020 holiday season with no fewer than five events.
On November 30, from 10:00 am until noon, Olde Town Square will provide a free breakfast to the 100 people that arrive first for the town’s annual Small Business Saturday. There will be plenty of giveaways before everyone heads out to shop at local small businesses.
At 5:00 pm that evening, the square will begin its ‘Olde Town Tree Lighting and Olde Town Gets Lit’ holiday kickoff event. Holiday carols will ring out. Santa will be available for pictures and many families that get shots of family members with the Jolly Ole Elf this early in the season like to take those photos to local Stationery printers to be made into Holiday Cards. The Christmas tree lighting will take place at 6:00 pm, followed by the Olde Town businesses turning on their holiday lights.
Holiday activities, including caroling, will be part of the annual “Lagniappe and Annual Cider and Eggnog Competition” evening on December 9 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. As the word “lagniappe” suggests, local businesses will be open late and will include little holiday gifts with each purchase.
From 10:30 am until noon on December 7, 14, and 21, SchoolHouse Kitchen and Libations will have its annual Breakfasts with Santa. Reservations strongly encouraged.
Santa will be visiting with kids afterwards from noon until 3:00 pm on the square at Olde Wadsworth Blvd. and 57th.
