The Colorado Brewery Running Series will be presenting The Five Alarm 5K and Chili Cook-off at the beginning of November.
Waves for the untimed, Five Alarm some-where-around 5K will be at 10:00, 10:20, 10:40 and 11:00 am. Since this will be just a fun run, all levels of runners, walkers and joggers are invited, and running strollers, kids and dogs are welcome. The open course will begin and end at the starting location and meander around the surrounding neighborhoods.
Registration will be $30 and comes with a brew or non-alcoholic drink at the end of the race, tasting pass to the Chili Cook-Off and either a pint glass or seasonal Colorado Brewery Running Series items such as hats, hoodies, and shirts and stickers. Tri-Blend tees or Tank tops sporting this year’s event Logo Design can be ordered during registration for $15.
Arvada sponsors, host brewery and the Colorado Brewery Running Series will donate items for door prizes. After the race the venue will have food trucks, giveaways, goodies and live music.
Around 30 Chili Cook-off contestants will be dishing out their best chili. Tickets for the tasting only will be $5. Prizes will go to the Five Alarm Tongue Burner, Green Chili and Red Chili winners.
Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit the Retired Firefighters Association of Denver.
The 5K and Chili Cook-Off will Saturday, November 6th from noon until 3:00 pm at the Resolute Brewing Tap & Cellar, 18148 West 92nd Lane.
