This year, as in many years past, Arvada runners are training to take part in the Father’s Day Classic 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and 10 Miler coming in mid-June.
The 10 Miler will cost $65 and starts at 7:20 am. Registration for the 10K will be $45 and it starts at 8:00 am, the 5K will be $35 and starts at 8:00 am, and the kids; one-mile untimed Fun Run will be $10 and begins at 7:31 am.
The timed Manly Mile will be $15 and begins at 7:30 am. A combo package including the 10K and Manly Mile will cost $45, and the combo package for the 5K and Manly Mile will be $35. It begins at 7:30 am.
Swag includes black T-Shirts sporting this year’s Father’s Day Classic graphic design and logo that will go to all participants, and blue or yellow ceramic campfire mugs for 10-mile finishers. Water stations will be on the course and there will be a bike lead and sweep.
The event’s charity partner will be Community Table. Attendees are asked to donate five non-perishable food items which will enter them in a raffle to win gear and gift cards. The Community Table offers food, physical and financial assistance to those in need.
This year’s Father’s Day Classic will be Sunday, June 19 at 13150 W 72nd Avenue.
