Irish street festival planned in Arvada

Olde Town Arvada will be holding its annual St. Patrick's Day Festival in mid-March.

From noon to 6:00pm, Arvada’s Olde Town will turn into an Irish street festival featuring food trucks, over 90 artisan vendors, and a kids' zone. Plenty of activities have been scheduled for families.

Live music performances will be provided by Centennial State Pipes and Drums, a bagpipe band that will begin its 30-minute march at Cheapskates Action Sport bar at noon. On the Community Banks of Colorado Band Stage, Big Paddy will be performing from 12:15pm to 1:30pm, and School of Rock Broomfield can be found on the Square Stage from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

From 1:30pm to 2:00pm, Centennial State Pipes and Drums will also march outside the School House. A performance from Skean Dubh will take place on the Community Banks of Colorado Band Stage from 2:30pm to 3:00pm, and finally, Juice O' The Barley will be on the same stage from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.

Admission will be free for all interested attendees, and the event will take place no matter the weather in designated streets that have been closed for the occasion.

Communities such as Arvada’s often do a little poster printing beforehand and display promotional materials around the area to get the word out about their annual events.

The Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival will take place on Saturday, March 16th.
