Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will be offering an eclectic array of exhibitions and a play during May.
The play, “Small Mouth Sounds” is presently running on the Main Stage Theatre until the end of May. This is a moving, funny, poignant unique off-Broadway play taking place in a silent yoga retreat. Six participants solve personal problems by connecting without using words.
Starting May 20, as part of the Jefferson County School District Alumni Exhibition, Brady Smith will have a show of works depicting individual and social perspective on suicide. This exhibit will be in the Upper Gallery.
Also starting May 20 in the Theatre Gallery, Melody Epperson’s 100+1 Women and the Vote, one of Jefferson “County School District Teacher Solo Exhibitions, will feature a collection of famous women such as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Kamala Harris.
On the same day, the Main Gallery will begin Viral Influence: Art in the Time of Coronavirus. Over the last year Colorado artists have found creative ways to express themselves through artwork during the state’s stay-at-home order. Out of 1,000 submissions, 259 works have been selected for display.
Exhibitions will require free registration available online. Guests can then choose their one-hour timeslots. The collections will be available until August 22.
