Majestic View Nature Center at 7030 Garrison Street has eight events coming in January.
Arvada little ones, ages six to twelve, are invited to attend Fun with Snow next Saturday, January 8, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Activities include crafts and games. If the weather cooperates, there will be activities outside in the snow.
From 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm, everyone is invited to take a leisurely walk with a naturalist to experience nature during the magical golden hour to learn about Colorado’s fauna and flora.
On Wednesday, January 12, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, the Center will offer a Painting Landscapes class. This will be a step-by-step beginner workshop. Supplies will be included in the $10 registration fee.
That Saturday, January 15, from 7:30 pm until 8:30 pm will be Indoor Stargazing using a remotely controlled robotic telescope. The event will be free.
Tuesday, January 18 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am will see free Nature Discoveries continue for all ages. Discovery stations will offer hands-on projects with a range of nature topics.
Beeswax Lanterns will be the project for Night with a Naturalist on Thursday, January 20 from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm. All ages are invited, and registration will be $5.
