Arvada recently welcomed some visitors form Japan, and they will be hosting a day that will shine a spotlight on Japanese, art, culture and more.
The Majestic Nature Center will serve as the venue for the Japanese Community Culture Fair, and all are welcome to come and learn about this country that’s on the other wide of the world. It will be facilitated by a group of high school girls who attend a Jumonji school in Japan are visiting the area as part of a home stay program, which is offered by compass USA. They will be sharing their culture with those who come out for the afternoon, and this will include demonstrations of origami, using traditional methods to write in Kanji, and much more. There will even be an opportunity for people to dress up in an authentic kimono for photos.
All this will be taking place at the Majestic View Nature Center, which is located at 7030 Garrison Street. Those who are interested are asked to register ahead of time. Flyers can be placed throughout the community to let people know when an event like this has been scheduled.
This afternoon that will be dedicated to sharing the art and culture of Japan will be held on July 31st, and all are welcome. More information can be found on the Visit Arvada website.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
