The Resolute Runner 5k will be ushering in the New Year in Arvada, and the All-Out Polar Prowl comes a week later.
To kick off the New Year, many athletes will be turning out for the Resolute Runner 5k. The course will start at Johnny Roberts Memorial Park and will continue on the Ralston Creek Trail.
Spectators may want to get some banner printing done to encourage their favorite runners, as they will be able to see the starting line, walk about a third of a mile to observe the race progress at two points, then see the participants reach the finish line.
The race will not only help get rid of the holiday blahs but help restock the local Community Table. Along with monetary donations, attendees are asked to bring canned goods like peanut butter, fruit, and pork and beans. Names of those bringing five or more items will be entered in a raffle.
Individual registration is $35, and group rates are available. Swag will include gender specific T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design.
The Resolute Runner 5k will take place Sunday, January 1, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am.
All-Out Polar Prowl will offer a timed 1m, 5k, 10k, and half marathon along the Ban Bibber Creek Trail on January 7 beginning at 9:00 am. The 5k costs $45, the 10k is $55, and the half marathon is $75. Virtual options will also be available. The event will take place at Stenger Soccer Complex, 11200 W 58th Street.
