Arvada Historical Society hosts food truck festival

The first food truck event of the summer is coming up, courtesy of the Arvada Historical Society. This festival will be celebrating the history of Arvada, and will focus on a published history of the municipality.

It will be taking place at the Lamar Street Center, located on Lamar Street. The center has a large parking lot, so plenty of parking will be available for the event. There will be a couple of food trucks at the event, although details have not yet been released.

This particular festival will focus on a book titled ‘New Frontiers, A History of Arvada, 1976 to 2006’. Kim Field, the author, will be at the festival to sign Books and chat. Books will be sold at the event for $45, cash or check only.

The event itself is free, and those interested in history are encouraged to attend. There will be live music throughout the event, as well as a bar. Steel Affairs Automotive will be open and accepting business as well. Steel Affairs Automotive specializes in restoring old cars and creating customized vehicles.

Events like this often benefit from banner printing, as this venue is on a corner and is also used for other events. As this is a free event, attendees should expect traffic delays and potential parking delays.

It takes place on Friday, May 31, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
