Arvada gives musical nod to Comic Con

This weekend, the Symphonic Tribute to Comic Con returns to Arvada, and will be held at the Arvada Outdoor Amphitheatre.

The special concert is a one-night-only event, and features music from video games, movies, and TV shows. Music will be performed from such sources as Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, The Avengers, Kingdom Hearts, Uncharted 2, and more. Attendees will be allowed to cosplay at this event, meaning dressing up like characters from their favorite pieces of pop culture.

Music will be performed by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Dragon, and with Marissa Rudd providing the vocals. Tickets for this event are currently on sale, with general admission tickets costing $20 and reserved seats costing between $35 and $50. General admission is not reserved seating, and is open to the sky. The reserved seats are covered and are closer to the stage.

Parking is available on site, and there is plenty of parking, including accessible spaces. Attendees are advised to arrive a bit early, as general admission seats will fill up. The concert will start at 7:30 and will last approximately an hour and a half, and will include an intermission.

Events of this type often take advantage of banner printing, and have a banner over the stage or on the side of the building on the night of the concert. This event will take place on tomorrow, July 21.
