This summer, the annual Handmade Arts & Ales Festival will be held at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities.
This festival is all about handmade arts and ales, as the name implies, centered in Arvada. Proceeds help the charitable organization Make Art Happen.
Art is one of the big draws of the event, and many local artists will be in attendance. Most of them will be selling their art, or at least showcasing it. Media vary from jewelry, to painting, to glass, to sculpture and beyond.
There will also be a number of breweries at the festival with samples and drinks for sale. These will be complemented by food trucks on sight, with a variety of types of foods available. There will be everything from wood-fired pizzas, to tacos, to sausages, to Italian ice.
Four bands are scheduled to entertain: Thunder and Rain, The Beloved Invaders, Classic Vinyl Band, and Bird Dawgs. Immediately following the conclusion of the festival, there will be a performance from a band called Face Vocal Band, which specializes in all-vocal rock music.
There are three levels of entry for this event: basic entry with no samples is just $5, regular entry with a stamp card for 20 samples of beer is $30 (or $35 at the door), and VIP tasting with a stamp card for 40 samples of beer is $50 (or $55 at the door). Vendors, artists, and breweries will all want to have Business Cards on hand during the event.
The festival is scheduled for tomorrow, August 11, from noon to 7:00 pm.
