Arvada on Tap is returning to the Ralston Park Addition for the seventh year in mid-June.
The event will be an opportunity for folks to sample craft beer and seltzer from local breweries, hear live music, and try some BBQ made by local amateurs. Local breweries will be passing out unlimited samplings and giving homebrew demonstrations.
Fifteen participants in the Amateur BBQ Competition will vie for first, second and third place prizes. Teams will pick up their pork shoulders at Lot Que and use only homemade BBQ sauces. Many will be cooking their entries over night at the site. The public will receive two-ounce servings and vote on the “People’s Choice” awards by using a QR code on a mobile app.
Food trucks will have offerings other than BBQ available for purchase. Some community vendors will be passing out information on Flyers and Business Cards. Others will be selling goods and services while some will also be giving away Promotional Products.
Proceeds from the event will go to Arvada Vitality Alliance, Arvada Sunrise Rotary, and the Arvada-Jefferson Kiwanis Club. These organizations contribute funds to causes such as food Backpacks, scholarship speech contest, city cleanup program, reading programs for elementary students, and Meals on Wheels.
Arvada on Tap will take place Saturday, June 18 from noon until 4:00 pm at 64th and Simms.
