Many locals will be enjoying the outdoors with some old-fashioned family fun at Arvada Days, coming toward the end of August.
Adults can enjoy the beer garden while kids can play vintage carnival games, ride the train and/or the pony, and pet the camel, llama, and other animals in the petting zoo. There will be craft, non-profits, and local business vendors selling both food and merchandise. Some will be giving away Promotional Products and information about their goods and services.
All are invited to compete in the fishing derby and the Dutch oven cook-off. Live music performed by Hill Top Harvest will add ambience to the festivities.
Proceeds will go to Hope House Colorado, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide a self-sufficiency program, resource center, and residential house for teen moms.
2021 Ralston House will hold a .5K Endurance Challenge Race/Walk from 10:00 am until noon in the park. Vendors and games with prizes will be at the finish line.
Registration is $25 for adults, and $20 for senior citizens over 65 years old and children under 16. Proceeds will go to Ralston House Child Advocacy Center. All participants will get finisher medals and purple T-Shirts sporting the yellow and white Ralston House graphic design.
Arvada Days is from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm and will be at Clear Creek Valley Park, 5900 Tennyson Street, on Saturday, August 21.
