Arvada celebrates third annual town festival

The third annual Arvada Days festival will be held this year at Clear Creak Valley Park from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This event will feature music, contests, food, and local vendors.

Before the event officially starts, there will be a historical bike ride, which will cover ten miles and visit ten different historic sites around Arvada. Riders will meet at 8:45 and begin the ride at 9 am. It will only be 1.5 miles to the festival from the end of the bike route.

The kids’ fishing contest will feature three age groups: five to eight, nine to twelve, and thirteen to fifteen. Each age group will have 45 minutes to catch and release fish, and awards will be given to the top three in each age group. Preregistration is required, and check-in will begin at 9:30 am on the day of the event.

There will also be a Dutch oven cook-off open to all ages. Contestants must bring their own supplies, including grill and fuel, and must do all cooking at the park. There are no restrictions on the type of food, and prizes will be given to the top competitors in both the adult and youth groups.

There will also be carnival games, a petting zoo, food, a beer garden, and community vendors at this event. Many of the vendors will likely have Business Cards on hand. Events like this often use poster printing to help advertise, as well as to guide guests to different areas of the festival. This festival will be held on Saturday, August 24.
