This year, the tradition of the Kooky-Spooky race continues in Arvada. This is all about the Halloween feeling, and gives participants multiple options for participation.
Due to the season, there will be a costume contest associated with the event. All participants are invited to enter in their family-friendly costumes at the first aid tents before the race begins. Multiple winners will be chosen in categories such as duos, children under 12, dogs, and individuals.
Participants will receive swag from this race, including a race T-shirt, finisher medal, and brag tag specific to this year’s race. Pictures from the race will be available to download afterwards free of charge. Racers will also be able to enjoy a meal after the race, including breakfast tacos, bagels, and chocolate milk.
This race will offer four different options for participants: a one mile run, a 5K, 10K, and half marathon. Maps and routes for each course are available online.
Event coordinators may use banner printing for this event, not only to help make residents aware, but also to acknowledge their donors and supporters. There are parking areas that will be reserved for participants and spectators.
Start times are staggered for the different races, so participants should be sure to check. There will be day-of registration available in the morning, starting at 7:45 am. All races will take place on Saturday, October 27.
