Three to five thousand people are expected to attend the Apex Field House Applewood Arts Festival coming to Arvada in early November.
More than 90 local artisans have been carefully selected to vend their handmade jewelry, gifts, fashions, craft food items, and holiday decor.
This will be a juried event and selection criteria will include originality, quality, uniqueness, variety, size of inventory, and display appeal. Categories to be considered will be Books, food, clothing, candles, woodworking, glass, painting, photography, pottery, and fabric. Food trucks and caterers will be available for snacks and lunch selections.
Best booth awards of $50 in credit to be applied to next year's application fees will be given to three artisans. Many vendors at events like this will have seasonal Business Cards printed beforehand that they slip in with purchases to add a little color and novelty.
Two lucky attendees will win $100 on the Sunday. One will be announced at 1:00 pm and the other at 2:00 pm.
Admission will be $6. Once admission is paid, guests may re-enter the event on both days. Strollers will be allowed after 1:00 pm on Saturday and all day on Sunday.
Applewood Arts Festival will take place Saturday, November 2 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, November 3 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Apex Field House, 5724 Oak Street.
