More than 300 participants are expected to attend Arvada's 2024 Hope House 5K & Fun Run that has been scheduled for early May. This will be the event's 11th year.
Adult 5K pre-registration tickets are $40 and the youth tickets for kids under the age of 13 are $20. These prices will go up after April 18. Adult Fun Run registration will be $30 and youth tickets will be $20.
Proceeds will go to Hope House Colorado, a resource center here in Arvada, that aids more than 250 teenage moms through economic self-sufficiency training, parenting classes and giving them community activities to build friendships.
The 5K will begin at 9:00 am. The course will be paved, and stroller will be welcome.
The Fun Run will be a 1.4 mile individually- paced jaunt around the lake beginning at 9:15 am. Again, strollers will be welcome.
A free Diaper Dash for little ones will have waves for toddlers, walkers and crawlers starting at 10:00 am.
Charity organizations that hold events like this often have pictures taken during the activity. These photos often go to local Print shops to be added to the organization's following year fundraising campaign.
The 2024 Hope House 5K & Fun Run will take place Saturday, May 4th beginning at 8:30 am at the Apex Center, 13150 W 72nd Avenue.
