Ventura to host harborside Halloween event

The Ventura Harbor Village will organize a special Halloween-themed festival for families in October.

Seaside Trick or Treat is a yearly program where families can visit local businesses at the Ventura Harbor Village for Halloween treats. There will be many stores participating in the event, such as Andria’s Seafood Restaurant and Market, Frenchies Modern Nail Care, and the Ventura Pottery Gallery. People can tell which businesses have treats by looking out for witch hats decorated with twirling green hair. Guests are asked to bring their own Bags for candy for the event.

The Halloween festival will feature many other activities aside from trick-or-treating. Kids can join a Monster Mash Dance Party and a Village Skeleton Hunt. People can also watch a professional pumpkin carver and see a decorated hearse from the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home. Lakeshore Learning will offer complimentary crafting activities for kids. Families can pay extra to join activities like face painting, slime making, and coloring giant Posters. Attendees can also pay to see tropical birds from The Birds Nest.

Seaside Trick or Treat will take place on Friday, October 30 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There is no cost for families to visit the participating businesses and receive treats. Guests are encouraged to put on costumes for the festival. Cities that hold yearly kid-friendly programs like this may share details about their events by using flyer printing services.
