Surfer's Point and Promenade Park in Ventura will hold a festival in September to support local surfers.
The Aloha Beach Festival is a two-day event that celebrates Hawaiian traditions and surf culture with live entertainment and an on-site marketplace. Some of the entertainment for this year's fest will include reggae concerts from local bands and ukulele performances. The master of ceremonies for the beach festival is Mr. Crazy John Brooks. There will also be activities such as frisbee dog shows, the C Street Classic Surf Contest, and a display by the Hōkūloa Outrigger Canoe Club.
The organization benefiting from the festival is Flow Surf Academy, an organization that gives people opportunities to grow their confidence through surfing. The school provides free surf camps to students interested in surfing. Those who donate to the academy can help it purchase special equipment like personal flotation devices and adaptive tandem surfboards. The money from donations will also pay for post-surfing meals for students and refreshments for volunteers.
The Aloha Beach Festival will be held from September 5th to September 6th. The event is free for the community to attend. People can support the event by volunteering to help set up the festival, assist vendors, and run the information booth. Those in charge of similar fests can utilize banner printing services to make themed outdoor ads for their seasonal events.
