Volunteers needed for Tustin robotics tournament

The Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) is looking for those with an interest in robotics, or who just want to lend a helping hand to an event for kids, to volunteer at its upcoming tournament.

Orchard Hills School will be playing host to the TUSD Robotics tournament on one Saturday per month this coming January, February and March. Those who want to help will be trained in how to run the events, and will be needed in such areas as refereeing the games and checking in teams. There will be 23 teams from local middle and high schools taking part.

There are several different positions for volunteers to fill, ranging from event director, event coordination assistants, and food services, to registration table greeters and welcome table staffers, inspectors, and judges.

A Print company can produce a variety of items that can be used at the tournament. These include T-Shirts and uniforms for the volunteers, name tags, registration Forms, award certificates, Banners, and Signs.

The events will take place on January 23, February 20, and March 26. They are scheduled to begin at 7:30 am and run until the mid-afternoon.

Anyone who is interested in donating their time is invited to visit the TUSD Robotics, where they can find descriptions of the different positions, as well as a volunteer interest form and application.
