Dinosaur-themed race to benefit Tustin schools

The Market Place in Tustin will hold a community race in November to help raise funds for the Tustin Public Schools Foundation.

The Dino Dash is a themed racing experience where participants can either run or bike through a course that goes through Tustin. There will be many race categories available for people to enter, including the 2K Fun Run/Walk, the 10K Run/Walk, and the Bike Tour. Guests can also attend a free family expo during the races.

The Tustin Public Schools Foundation will use the money earned at the races to fund enrichment programs and scholarships for students.

Companies interested in supporting the Dino Dash and local school funding can become sponsors for the event. The Medal Sponsorship Level will cost $1,000 and will include benefits such as a themed trophy made by a student from the Tustin Public Schools Foundation and name recognition on the shirts created for the event.

Other packages for the races include the Bronze Sponsorship Level for $2,500 and the Gold Sponsorship Level for $7,500.

The Dino Dash will be held on Sunday, November 2. The bike tour will begin at 6:30 am, and the chipped runs will start at 7:00 am. The expo for the races will open to the public at 7:00 am. Those interested in joining the athletic event can pay $44.25 for the 2K experience. Prices will increase for the longer races. Foundations in charge of similar races may use poster printing to advertise their events.
