The Petco store in Tustin is hosting a dog rescue adoption event in a few days.
Amazing Dogs Rescue is a non-profit organization whose mission is to care for dogs that may have been victims of neglect or mistreatment and connect them with new homes through the process of adoption. It has been accredited by Adopt a Pet, Petfinder, and the San Diego Humane Society.
Over the years, Amazing Dogs Rescue has rehomed 9,000 dogs to new families, providing medical care to thousands of dogs in the process and hosting more than a thousand adoption events.
The event advocates for people to use the adoption process for rehoming dogs, rather than people buying dogs from shops, as it helps abandoned dogs find new homes.
Whether participants would like to schedule appointments in advance to meet and greet new dogs, or simply show up to the event as walk-ins, all are welcome.
Each dog has their health records and were given the slate of treatments to make them home ready, including medical care, anti-flea treatments, dewormers, and being vaccinated. The dogs have also been spayed or neutered and have microchips.
Animal events like this may choose to use printing services to create kennel and leash labels.
The Amazing Adoption Event by Amazing Dogs Rescue is happening this Sunday, November 1 at 11:00 am at the Petco at 1192 Irvine Blvd in Tustin.
