Tustin’s Peppertree Park will feature a concert by the Bruno Mars tribute band That’s What I Like The Ultimate Bruno Mars Tribute Experience this June.
The performance is the first in a series of free Tustin Concerts in the Park held this summer, with future shows including other cover bands paying tribute to artists such as Journey, 90s rock, 60s psychedelic, the Rolling Stones and Queen.
Formerly known as Bruno and the Hooligans, the cover band is a seven-member ensemble of musicians known for performing at everything from private fundraisers to balls and holiday celebrations. With the help of a vocalist, saxophonist, trumpeter, drummer, and other instrumentalists, the tribute band brings to life many of Bruno Mars’ greatest hits, including “24K Magic,” “That’s What I Like,” “Uptown Funk!” and “Just the Way You Are.”
Paying tribute to famous artists is partially how Bruno Mars himself got his start. Before winning numerous Grammy Awards and generating No. 1 hits with the flick of a wrist as an adult pop superstar, the artist started out as an Elvis Presley impersonator as a child with his family band, The Love Notes, growing up in Hawaii.
